Discover Calculus is a textbook that covers topics in single-variable calculus, using an active and inquiry based lens. Each section of the text includes classroom activities and interactive elements intended to lead students through the process of building the main results from a typical 2-semester single-variable calculus sequence.
Throughout the text, the traditional proofs of well-known results have been replaced by visual explanations or geometric constructions in order to build student intuition. Practice problems for each topic are included, and python notebooks have been added to emphasize key concepts through coded simulations and examples.
